Travertine Works on Moroccan Tiles

Travertine is not something that you often hear about when it comes to tiles in your home. However, it is a substance that is found in many limestone mines around northern Africa and can be added into your Moroccan tile floor. Travertine is a limestone-based material that has a crystal appearance to it. It also has a light tone that makes it look like what you’d see in a desert surrounding, thus making it blend in with any Moroccan furniture you might place around your tiles. This is a beautiful and appealing tile surface but it can be even better in your home if you use it carefully.

You’ll have to use travertine in your Moroccan tiles with a few special standards in mind to make sure that it feels as comfortable as it could be. You’ll have to start by using travertine in a space where you will not be placing too many Moroccan furniture items on. That’s because these tiles can easily scratch if you are not careful enough. Also, some additional filler materials may be added to your tiles if you want to use them. Fillers are often used in these tiles to create a polished appearance while also filling in any holes that might naturally be found in travertine. This is particularly helpful seeing that travertine is an extremely porous substance. Then again, this advantage makes it so you won’t be likely to slip on your tiles. This should give you a comfortable surface to add into any space in your home.
