Cotton Duck for Moroccan Lamps

Sometimes you need to check on the fabrics used for the shades on Moroccan lamps that you might be interested in. Some of these shades include a few cotton-based options. Many manufacturers around Morocco like to make these shades with cotton duck textures. Cotton duck fabric is a type of cotton fabric that uses a much heavier amount of cotton fibers than what you might find elsewhere. Heavy-grade cotton is used primarily for tents, sandbags and other thick materials used for protecting items. You can use these lamps for your general lamp needs as well because they are commonly used on the surfaces of different shades.

The reasons why so many artisans use cotton duck fabric for lampshades are very plentiful. First, it is very easy to add dyes onto the surface of such a lamp. These dyes can be placed onto the body after everything is sewn up. In addition, you can wash this in a machine and even dry it in any traditional clothes dryer. It is very durable and will not easily come apart thanks to the dense materials that it is made out of. Also, air will easily move through the lampshade, thus keeping the heat from a lamp from sticking around its body for too long. It should relieve the lamp and keep it from feeling warmer than it has to be no matter what choice you want to use for it. This should be a simple type of material to choose when finding an option that will last a lifetime.
